New Website for Adventure Enthusiasts Launched by Sunshine Coast Council

Sunshine Coast Council are offering the chance to win a $500 adventure store voucher to celebrate the launch of their new Adventure Sunshine Coast website.

Adventure Sunshine Coast puts the planning of your next free Sunshine Coast adventure in the palm of your hand, showcasing over 150 free, self-guided walking, cycling, mountain biking, horse riding and canoeing activities.

Designed to enable people of all ages and abilities to explore all the Sunshine Coast has to offer in the way of land and water trails across 53 local areas.

For locals and visitors alike you can trust it to be the official source of information on what you can do on the Sunshine Coast to relax, discover and be active in our beautiful and unique natural environment.

Our cycle paths range from 30 minutes to 3 hours and cater for fun family outings through an old tunnel to some strenuous hill climbs with expansive views to the coast.

Mountain Biking on the Sunshine Coast
Imagine the thrill and fun of exploring over 60 dynamic mountain bike trails. There are crazy curves for adrenalin junkies and easy loops for all the family. As part of Adventure Sunshine Coast there are eleven trails solely for mountain bikers. Discover half hour to full day options, easy through to difficult rides, and lakeside to mountain fire trails.

Horseriding on the Sunshine Coast
There’s nothing quite like the blast of a horse-riding adventure. On the Sunshine Coast there are over 20 different tracks for horseriders, including designated trails that enable you to get away from mountain bikers. A variety of experiences are on offer from scenic and leisurely rides through to longer more committed adventures across nature reserves and forestry tracks.

Canoeing on the Sunshine Coast
There are over 20 waterways to explore on the Sunshine Coast from the comfort and exertion of your canoe, sea or flat-water kayak. This includes one-hour paddles with young children on small and safe lakes, such as Dunethin, through to the 30-kilometre Maroochy River canoe trail or circumnavigation of Old Woman Island off the coast of Mudjimba.
