2017 Vinnies Corporate & Community Sleepout Sunshine Coast

On any given night in Australia more than 105,000 people are homeless.

- Most homeless people are under the age of 35

- Around 44% of those homeless are women

- A quarter of those homeless are under the age of 18

- More than 12,000 children under the age of 12 have no home

- Around one fifth of those homeless are in Queensland.

Homelessness is a growing problem. More people than ever are turning to Vinnies for help. With our support they can continue to provide a hand up, not just a handout to assist thousands of homeless people every night. Their goal is not just to service the homeless, but to bring about an end to homelessness.

On the night of 29 June 2017 Sunshine Coast local community members are going to sleep rough to help raise awareness and important funds in support of homeless services in our region.

The team at First National Real Estate Mooloolaba & Maroochydore have accepted the challenge to experience what it's like to be homeless for one night.
Principals Paul and Lisa Angell say “We believe everyone deserves a safe and secure home. Normally in our business we deal with those who can afford to buy or rent properties, but people experiencing hardship need assistance to get back on track to secure affordable housing.
If you have a few dollars to spare to show your support of those who are doing it tough please donate via With your help we can fight the issue of homelessness together.”

Please take a moment to show your support with a secure online donation and post a message of support. Your generous donations will not only provide immediate and emergency assistance but pathways to a brighter future.

We thank you for supporting and spreading awareness of such a fantastic cause.

NOTE: Donations made through the Platform are secure and will be remitted directly through to St Vincent de Paul Society Queensland to support homeless services in the Sunshine Coast region.
